It can be tough. People will get there messages mixed up, someone might not reply to everyone so information is lost, or it could simply take to long to sort out all the reply messages. This is why it is often a better idea to use a wiki to plan out events rather then a slew of e-mails. By setting up a wiki any member of the group can go into the wiki site and edit it. For example, lets say a group is trying to set up a time and location to meet at. Well the creator can list some time and locations. Then people can go into the wiki and mark or "vote" on which location/time they prefer and everyone can see this. Or they can even add in more locations and times.

M.I.A Pregnant at the Grammies

Sunday Feb 8th M.I.A performed the song "Swagga like us" at the Grammies with Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West and Lil Wayne. The real twist is that M.I.A. performed not only pregnant but she was due that very day. That seriously worries me. I'm not sure if I'm more upset at M.I.A perfomring or the people in charge letting her go on stage. And it wasn't as if she was sitting down listening to acustics. She was up, moving around left and right, singing, and with loud music in the background. Was she even needed for the performance? I serously doubt anyone would have minded if they played a recording of her voice. I'm sure the grammies are an exciting experience, but is that performance worth the health of a child?

The consumers should be the creators

Have you ever been asked to take a survey for a weird product? Or how often has someone asked to you right up your experience with a company after they offered you a service? Every year companies spend thousands and thousands of dollars on market research in order to produce the next big product or improve their severice, when in actuality it's not only cheaper but easier to get the information they need. Not enough camponies are using blogging systems in the way they should. By looking at blogs related to their company they have immediate access to reviews and critisisms. Often time they don't even have to look much farther then the home page. For example Amazon has a very simple system in place where costumers can rate and review products. The companies can even respond directly to the consumers to dig for more research. It's surprising how many companies are overlooking such a useful ans simple tool.

The New PR

The Internet has drastically changed the way Marking and Public Relations works. Now people can post their thoughts on a product or service on any number of websites and anyone can have access to these blogs. If a company keeps their eyes open they can get all sort of valuable research information entirely for free. Developers can even respond to the postings asking for more information in order to better address the concerns or to give a customer thanks for using their product. It's a little surprising that many companies still have not learned how to truly utilize this resource.
